How do you operate a restaurant with a bunch of part time workers?  I can imagine sitting forever waiting for the help to take your order, then lose your order when they change shifts.  Imagine how part time cooks changing shifts will screw up your meal.  The restaurant might save on health insurance costs, but they'll be out of business in weeks as word gets around about how crappy the restaurant is.

    •  The joints won't even save that much, either (0+ / 0-)

So the workers go out on the exchanges and get subsidized insurance. It also makes them less dependent on their crappy jobs. The Walmart model. Building a richer One Percent near you.

Fast food, sure. Use part time staff. Nothing new there. Who will want to eat at the overpriced, drenched in layered grease slop from major chain restaurants? "We're going to need a bigger buckle for our Bible belt."

And God said, "Let there be light"; and with a Big Bang, there was light. And God said "Ow! Ow My eyes!" and in a flash God separated light from darkness. "Whew! Now that's better. Now where was I. Oh yea . . ."
