At best I have three more years.  I get full Social Security then.  In two, I get Medicare.

I want to live in a big city again.  We have been looking for a house in KC, but we never found the one that said "this is the one."

My spouse is seven years younger and is still a citizen of Germany.  If medical insurance is not too high, it might be cheaper to retire to Europe.

The political discourse in this country really disgusts me.  I can carry on normal conversations in both French and German.  The internet is fast enough so I can follow the Bears and Cubs.  I have very little reason to remain in the States.

I read what you write, Ken, and think about what I'm going to do after I retire.  If the health remains good (I'm obese), I look forward to writing more here and reading and riding my bike.

[Medicare, and Medicaid, and Social Security] do not make us a nation of takers; they free us to take the risks that make this country great.
