    60 years ago, Tennessee law said it was illegal to educate the mentally disabled because it was a waste of tax payer money.  A friend of ours challenged that law and it was overturned.  
    We now see mentally disabled adults and senior citizens, and they are productive members of society.  60 years ago, those children with disabilities did not thrive and would die in childhood rarely did they make it to 20.  Even the most severe disabled like those needing light therapy, etc... deserves a chance.   Time will show it is money well spent.

      the plan was provide all child services through the schools. Dentist, pediatrician, psychologist, anything you can think of. It makes optimum use of the facility, everyone with pertinent information is on campus, the child is in a comfortable setting. It really made sense, so of course, it never happened.
