I no knowledge here, but, reading lots of threads on DKOS, I can see that you know more about many things.  Just this week, I've learned that CEOs pay tax on all their income at 39.6%, although I'm not sure I saw you in that thread.  Did you read Adam's clipping on the NYTimes' policy? Did that modify your view at all?

The Peterson Foundation isn't just any old foundation, right? Can we agree on that?

A little web research suggests that plenty of board members of non-profits get compensation:

So, when I finish what's in front of me now, I'll go see if the Fix the Debt folks have any public disclosures. And, I'll ask around for a few opinions from some less political foundations. I'm betting we'll find that people who sit on board's of foundations can well be paid. Whether or not Leslie Stahl is is something she can simply tell us.

I'm from the Elizabeth Warren wing of the Democratic Party

it is not wise to claim "SHE IS NOT GETTING PAID" , when you really do not know that for sure

Also , a person in her position has the power to kill stories that come up for broadcast , so there is more to this than just GETTING PAID , it could even be a tax write off scam

None of the corporate media says anything about JOBS JOBS JOBS , I find it REALLY hard to believe it would be that way if the GOP had the white house and senate , while the dems were blocking EVERYTHING in the U S House

    •  She is not a board member. (0+ / 0-)

She serves on an advisory board. There is a big difference. If you don't know the difference, you should recognize that this is not your field of expertise and do more listening than pontificating. If you really care about this so much, pull up their latest 990 on guidestar and read the disclosure on compensated individuals. I would do it, but I already know the answer, because no one is paid to be on advisory boards.
