  •  So? 10,000 protests to remove 1 talkinghead? (0+ / 0-)

Provided you succeed, what then? Go after every millionaire RW-backed talking head in every media one at a time?
That makes as much sense as trying to shut down fracking in the US by suing one, and only one, well  at a time (not a company, but each separate well) and seeing how each case ends before starting the next.
People here say I'm negative because I make comments like this on diaries espousing actions like this on any of a range of injustices. Obviously I must be just a "eat, drink, and be merry" guy who doesn't want to make the effort to change things.
But in reality these piecemeal tiny fragmented shots at change -- get a talking head fired, prevent ONE pipeline from getting built, creating equality in one aspect of life for one minority -- are promoted by in effect "eat, drink, and be merry" people, who know that vast sections of the system and process have gone bad yet think plugging up a chink here and there will make them feel better. Unless and until a great majority of Americans start agitating (in any and all ways) to change policies and agendas en masse, and say to hell with the government forces and politicians that try to stop them (the colonies didn't declare independence by just one or two localities every season), I see no reason to not eat, drink, and be merry.

I guess it was a totally useless and failed effort.

"Great, so you got me. There's gonna be 10 other guys doing this tomorrow. You gonna change the world?"

"No. Just our little corner of it."

I decline to let the perfect be the mortal enemy of the good, but thanks for the invitation.
