    And believe, in fact, that higher education should be free.  That having been said, there may well be no choice for the administration but to start charging tuition.  Does not make protest wrong or invalid.

    Having to pay one's own way through college does reduce the time one can spend taking advantage of the resources it offers.

    Find the use of armed guards and locking bathrooms bizarre...  Let them have their protest, it hurts no one.  Staff may be a little inconvenienced, but they'll live.  The school has a very easy story to tell if it attracts media attention.  In my experience, university buildings are generally open to students 24/7 anyways, so they may well not have to go out of their way to accommodate protesting students, anyways.
