Considering how many Americans have relatives or friends in prison, I am always amazed at the general media and societal portrayal of prisoners
I guess every old house has a rotten floorboard that no one wants to look under.
So much for Christian family values.
    Thank you for posting this.

Families with members that are incarcerated have been victimized by those same people. Those may not be the crimes they're doing time for, but forgive me for being blunt. It's often a huge relief when a family member finally gets locked up.

That doesn't mean anyone deserves the abuses that occur behind prison walls. But if you've been taken advantage of, abused, stolen from, or worse -- often for decades -- well, the sad fact that many prisoners don't have many visitors is understandable.

Christian values means that you turn the other cheek and forgive. But at some point, you run out of cheeks. Plus, you're often too busy mopping up, like raising their kids, caring for their sick parents, dealing with their other abandoned obligations,   to have the energy to do much else.

Try to be gentler on folks who have often been through a lot. That's all I ask....

So if you get hit by a bus tonight, would you be satisfied with how you spent today, your last day on earth? Live like tomorrow is never guaranteed, because it's not. -- Me.
