    it is good to be worried about domestic spying, I am too worried about.  But it is not good to dismiss actual pervasive information technology vulnerabilities in our country, throughout infrastructure and business.

    We need to get a handle on this, and unfortunately a bunch of old people that make up the congress are the very last people who should be debating cutting edge technology since they apparently think the whole system is similar to plumbing.

    •  We had >7 years of security alerts used for (8+ / 0-)

      political purposes.  I haven't seen that much evidence of a material change in that approach since 1/20/09.  When I hear 2 Dem senators warn for months that the Patriot Act is being abused, I become skeptical of warnings of this nature.  I become more skeptical when a former FBI counterterror expert warns that all phone calls are being recorded.

      I have no clue as to the technical issues presented here.  I have learned over almost 12 years now, however, to take all such warnings w/ several grains of salt.

      Some men see things as they are and ask why. I dream of things that never were and ask why not?
