    I just wonder about traditional context. I am imagining firelight. Picturing how those trinkets of metal would pick up & reflect the flickering of a night 'camp' fire in combination with the movements of the dancers ... in my mind's eye, it's lovely and dynamic and...  powerful that way. As it is, I'm sure, in a gym by flood lights as well, just... different. :P

    I have an odd mix of perspective - academically - of both cultural anthropology and art history, but that was long ago (in the late 70's). They didn't offer interdisciplinary degrees back then where I was, so I kinda unofficially did that on my own. Guess I was quite the challenge to my academic advisor, lol. I had a few really great prof's, in both departments, who strongly influenced my thinking, and I am always going to be curious about context and traditional applications, even while understanding the modern day pow wow is a somewhat different kind of thing.
