    I have always exercised my right to vote.

    But if I was promised that my #1 issue would be addressed and then it wasn't, I too might be reluctant to cast my vote for that same politician.

    If marijuana was your #1 issue in 2008, then staying home in 2012 makes sense.

    And lastly on the matter, when President Obama and his administration set up their website that would effectively be petition driven, the first issue to be recognized was marijuana.

    Thus far, President Obama has not only dropped the ball, he has fumbled the matter with too many federal arrests.

      If one really cared about pot, then there was no way s/he could not vote for Obama twice. Not voting only makes the bar lower for someone more hostile to pot to win the election. In other words, it is just an excuse that asks to be taken at surface value.

      If drugs are one's #1 issue then what a privilege life that must be. It certainly isn't representative of people who have to worry about jobs, debt, or other such mundane things.

      The politicians may be bought, and the system corrupt, but it is our duty to fix these things.
