  •  And its the second term of a dem. . . (25+ / 0-)

I fear that there are a couple new "realities" in DC nowadays and I think they project well into the future:

    - Repubs will not fill Agency positions if they don't like the agency

    - Repubs now view the Senate as requiring 60 votes to proceed

    - Repubs will use Debt ceilings to manage budget considerations into the future.

And, along with the 3 above "new paradigms" - I think we can add that all future Dem administrations will be under relentless "Watergate" type hearings/scandals. And, as bonus material, each successive dem administration will be labeled by the wingers as the worst president in all of history.

Blessed are the peacemakers, the poor, the meek and the sick. Message to Repug Fundies: "DO you really wonder "what would Jesus do?" I didn't think so.

    •  As long as there are only rewards and no (7+ / 0-)

punishments or liabilities to behaving the way they do, the Republicans will keep doing it over and over. A bully will keep bullying until they are stopped. There are a number of ways to stop a bully, and a good hard punch (in the political sense) in the mouth is definitely one that would work with this bunch of cowardly assholes. Reid claims he was a boxer once. Wouldn't it be nice if he could show us if he has his stuff.

like he used to box I guess he is still waiting for a ref to show up and call a foul against the Repubs for hitting below the belt. Oh if only the great ref in the sky would show up and call a disqualification and then a suspension. Then we could play a clean match. If only. Where are you when we need you O great ref in the sky?

deduct the cost of these bullshit hearings from the asshole congress's paycheck.

Why aren't the Dems on Issa's committee and congress screaming about this??

    •  The greatest defense is an offense. The Repubs (3+ / 0-)

are really going on the offense here about nothing, so they must have done something themselves that they really need to defend.
