    Statistically speaking, the number of non-fatal unintentional shootings is relatively stable from year to year.

    There's no database I'm aware of with figures for accidentally shooting through your neighbors' walls, or dropping guns in restaurants and blasting holes in the seats, or forgetting loaded guns in public bathrooms.

    But basically, as far as GunFAIL moments that actually injure someone, we're looking at an average of about 15,000 annually. That works out to an average of about 287 unintentional firearms injuries every week. I only find about 50 incidents a week, and several of them don't involve any injuries at all.

    So if my lists were comprehensive, we'd be looking at weekly posts somewhere between five and seven times longer than the ones I'm able to produce.
