Cheers to a good Martin Sexton show in KC on Friday night.

Jeers that Mrs grog's back was causing real pain throughout the trip.

Cheers to the Marrachech Cafe right down the street from the venue in KC.  Damn yummy.

    Cheers to a quiet Mother's Day...until...

Jeers to the Puppy Murderers.  They were gone until 3pm on Sunday which is why it was quiet.  They get back and out comes the leaf blower.  Unbeknownst to me, she was blowing, get this, maple leaf helicopters from the street onto the Dauphine gravel driveway.  I was up at the house working on the front porch hearing the racket from that and the neighbor across the street, aka The Swingers, who every Sunday rolls out his massive, commercial riding mower to mow his weeds to dirt level.  I'm in my "yup if figures" mode knowing it wouldn't last that long when Mrs grog comes up and starts to vent.  She was working in the flower beds around the driveway when Mrs Puppy Murderer charges out into the street with the leaf blower and starts working downhill from the driveway entrance.  Mrs grog stood up and glared at the bitch who avoided eye contact.  Good old passive-aggressive asshole Midwesterners.  I asked "do I need to go down there and cause a scene?"  Mrs grog asked me not to.  Heh heh, I looked in the driveway this morning and sheesh, I wouldn't have known anything unless I'd been told.  Nonetheless, nothing good will come of this.  Dealing with them, as I've said before, is like dealing with terrorists--you have to push back, loud and hard.  And as I've said before, a debilitating stroke or painful cancer that will eat up their life savings in health care costs not to mention the physical pain and suffering such events would cause can't come soon enough to either of em.

Jeers to the old riding mower malfunctioning.  Some rod/axel that drives one of the blades dropped out of it's housing as I was mowing the cemetery.  It's now on the trailer outside the office so I can take it in to get worked on, assuming they can find a part.  Had to finish the cemetery with the push mower.  Thankfully it was cool out.  I routinely curse the dead since I'm stuck taking care of the place but I only curse them half-heartedly since the people who owned the Dauphine for 80 years are buried there as is Bozo's previous owner.  And 3-4 newborn/stillborn children.  It's sobering mowing up there.
