Some of these are astroturf groups abusing their tax-free status. So, of course the IRS would "single" them out - how else would they decide to investigate them without focusing on them?

My question to the IRS would be: so you investigated Tea Party groups, but where else did you look - in the entirety of all your investigations of 501 groups? I think it might then look more even-handed.

isn't currently covering the investigation of left leaning groups like the above mentioned American Friends Service Committee (Quakers), liberal churches, Emerge America, NAACP, or Greenpeace.

Worse than all of these was the Bush Admin attempt to pack federal courts with right-wing ideologues. Though not related to the IRS, this was a more egregious partisan attack on our system of government but received a fraction of the press coverage this IRS story is getting.

I'm as scared of/for my government now as I was during the the eight year Bush 43 nightmare. This sucks.

Reaganomics noun pl: belief that government is bad, that it can increase revenue by decreasing revenue, and unregulated capitalism can provide unlimited goods for unlimited people on a planet with finite resources.
