  •  Oh and, wait, what? (7+ / 0-)

You know, well, maybe you don't, but I don't have friends in real life and wait one darn tootin' minute before you react to that - but it's my choice.

I have what I consider acquaintances, and I have several of them, but as some famous actress said long ago "Dahlink, I'd rather be alone."

I love my husband and when it comes to a best friend, he's it, in real life.

It's really hard for me to interact with people.
I tried explaining this to my husband through the scare - believe me when I tell you this - everyone loves my husband.
    He's a loveable guy.
    He's personable, whereby I'm awkward.
Seriously, people in real life wonder what he sees in me.

I've pretty much always been alone.
I had that severe eczema that followed me through 12 years of a Catholic School and my mom never allowed any of us to have friends and my parents never drank alcohol.
    Never.
It's just the way it was and all of us kids moved out young and it wasn't because it was bad at home, it was because we wanted freedom and independence.

I wanted to get high on pot, basically, and listen to Simon and Garfunkel - LOL

Finding this site and finding this community has opened something within me - people like me here!

I've never ever had people like me before in real life, as people like me here.
And that causes me an entirely different set of concerns.

But since being a part of this community, I've gained and have grown as a person and yes, it's like when Sally Fields won that OSCAR - YOU like me!
    LOL

I'm much more confident from this site.
I can't explain it correctly, but for once in my life, I feel accepted for being me.

    All we need is LOVE!
