    As a fundamentalist Pagan, the idea of treating human blood as a generic commodity -- a commodity currency, even -- is so blasphemously unholy as to make me want to puke.  It's a superbly practical idea, but the ethical considerations are about as degraded as you can get.

      One of the things this does is treat it as something that is only exchangeable for a like thing. Only blood for blood. An eye for an eye. Etc. Not that I can't see why this is creepy, it is. In a way it's almost decommodifying it, or could be.

      If debt were a moral issue then, lacking morals, corporations could never be in debt.
