IS a huge PITA interviewer that never shuts up, and I suspect stomped his conservative feet as hard as he could before he interviewed Hedges, because he knows he cannot play his never shut the phuck up tricks with everyone he interviews...

Or Maybe that is bot WBUR Tom Ashbrook; dunno, they all try to sound the same, in a sucky, non-journalistic Steve Inskeep ,archetype for the 1% radio way-

I gave up on NPR-DC after Bob Edwards departure and after having to endure Scott Simon discuss the importance of war for the Irakie (sic) children-  Sounded like the freedom woman from CNN keira bot or whatever...

I will listen to the interview as suggested, and do indeed appreciate the diary, and others similar in vein, but I seriously doubt NPR-DC could ever play a consistent, fearless role in informing listeners of viewpoints rarely discussed or posited on their media landscape- (Yes; the 1% stole the "news"  have you heard about the "McRib" Burger King is offering to compete with McD-?-  I read it at "Bing" and also that refined white salt is okay; LOAD UP! , it was in the "popular now" section so it has to be important NEWS right?)

Evidence that contradicts the ruling belief system is held to extraordinary standards, while evidence that entrenches it is uncritically accepted. -Carl Sagan
