  •  Doesn't matter to GOP. House will impeach. (0+ / 0-)

We can point out all the hypocrisy we can find, but it won't matter to the GOP.  The GOP is clearly gearing up for impeachment  The Cincinnati whistle-blower is feeding information to the WSJ and the Weekly Standard on "Washington's involvement" in the IRS's actions.  The Washington Post is starting to pick up on this information also.  Simply put, the GOP has their star witness and they are absolutely sure there will be a document trail to back this witness's testimony.  To the extent there is a single email or memo found indicating that an administration official knew of this conduct, the House GOP crazies will file articles of impeachment even if it's clear that the President had no direct knowledge.

Th GOP has to play this card.  The electoral dynamics and voter composition are quickly slipping away from them and they have do something drastic alter the political landscape.  This is it.

I predict, with a lot of confidence, that articles of impeachment will be filed by the end of the year and impeachment proceeding will begin in the Senate in the summer of 2014.

Impeachment proceedings right before the 2014 elections will result in a backlash against the GOP bigger than they will ever imagine.

If they decide to do this, the public  will rally behnd the President to take back the House and strengthen their hold on the Senate.  Harry Reid would get the balls to nuke the 60 vote fillibuster which would pave the way for major legislative breakthroughs on the environment, jobs, immigration, tax reform, gun control, education, transportation, and on and on.....

      Bring on impeachment!!
