    has always been one of those people that I think of when I think of the "Nice Polite Republicans" epithet for NPR. Same stereotypically smug/breezy tone as every business reporter at most other venues.

    As for Rumsfeld, he gets compared unfavorably to McNamara, so he compares himself to.....Napoleon. Perfect. Says a lot that this fucking ignorant clown was a Cabinet member in two different Admins.

    My goodness, indeed.

      in the run-up to Operation Shocking and Awful, I took to calling them 'National Pentagon Radio'. Stopped donating and listening to them and switched to Pacifica (KPFK). Haven't regretted the decision once.

        drive me crazy with their terrible New-Age afternoon shlock, always some show on about "healing the self" and "finding the inner I" and all that self-help neoliberal drivel.  Though I appreciate Ian Masters and the fact that they broadcast Amy Goodman.
