between teabaggers and firebaggers.  it happens semi-regularly.

We must not ever have points of intersection, no matter how different the motivations! We must run from any similarity to any group which the status quo mainstream Dems disapprove of, even if the comparison is completely flawed.

Let's embrace the middle. That's where it is all happening, baby!

The other day I was in a discussion about my student loans and the draconian treatment I am experiencing from both the lender and the government. I found myself explaining my ordeal to a guy who is a bit of a redneck with "don't tread on me" flags hanging on his wall, and pictures of military ships. In other words, a person who fits a tea party profile.

I was surprised when he exclaimed to me, "You know what I think is really unfair about your story? It's the idea you have to buy an education in this country!!!" To say the least, I was surprised. If the tea-party folk ever wake up sufficiently and see what is really going on, as this man in the story is beginning to do, there will be real confluence and intersectionality, and then hold onto your authoritarian hat, for you may lose it.

        •  Sweet... (0+ / 0-)

Ridicule is a powerful weapon of those who fall for the weak polemics of avoiding substance.

Bravo. Let's see, not wanting to be forced to ingest a substance everyday of my life is equal to the paranoia of protecting bodily fluids.

I've found on facebook that some friends that repost from these sites  often begin a slide into the crazy and start chemtrail ranting. It's weird.
