    according to the article, and the parents waited until February to seek her arrest. Did they condone the relationship until then?

    Perhaps it's less a case of them lying in wait until her birthday and more a situation of exacting revenge when it suited them.
    Either way, there seems to be no question that the "Romeo and Juliet" clause of the law should be invoked.

      started when they were 18 and 14, and they are now 18 and 15.

        old. That's the standard response to people that age. If it disgusts you, it disgusts you. I have no problem with that. Especially these days. I was way more naive in 1984 at 15 than I am today and I had sex when we were way more concerned about who would be the next Soviet Premiere than "protecting children", which was mostly not done. In 1984, in High School, you could still see where people's parents beat them with car antennas.
