    companies that sold products to the DoD. I didn't have a secret clearance, but my thinking (and what folks told me) was always that what the DoD was buying was 5-10 years ahead of what a business or you or I could buy. So really no telling what they have going on.

      ...and simply based upon my own experiences in the tech sector and in politics, too, you can count on the DoD having far more advanced technologies either in development or already in place that are far greater than most of the public can (or, for that matter, will allow themselves to conceive) fathom. Think: highly miniaturized drones, robotic soldiers, nano-tech, artificial intelligence, laser weapons, etc., etc. They're all "happening" (in basic development or much farther along than that) as we blog. (Absolutely NO conspiracy theories here; it's all quite real.)
