  •  And she wrote some pretty perfect books anyway. (5+ / 0-)

    I know you're right.

Perhaps the answer is to work on two levels. My first job is simply to publish something weekly, so that R&BLers know they can show up on Friday afternoons and find some ideas and conversation about books. My higher ambitions - to write new kinds of diaries, and tours-de-force - can simmer away on my back burner, and fit into the queue when I have one that I've completed and am happy with. Because both jobs are important to me: meeting my weekly commitment, and raising my game.

    •  That sounds like a good solution (5+ / 0-)

Friday can be so boring and we need a book diary in the evening.

Unfortunately, it hits my supper time at EDT, sometimes.

But I will watch for them and get there when I can.  I never tire about talking about books or poems or plays or film or quotations.
