  •  Just in, this cut and paste (0+ / 0-)
A mayoral candidate running for office in North Miami this week was convinced she’d win Tuesday’s election by a landslide after announcing the holiest political endorsement in history: one from Jesus Christ himself.

Although Jesus Christ may have been one of the 56 people that voted for Princess Anna Pierre in yesterday’s election, it certainly wasn’t enough to land her that cushy new desk job. In fact, with only 0.83% of the total vote, Ms. Thang came in dead last.

The most ironic part of Pierre’s short-lived political career is that openly gay former mayor Kevin Burns came out on top with 33% of the total votes.

    •  Yeah, Jesus endorsement worked about as well (0+ / 0-)

as the guy who was running and claiming he had a voodoo curse on him.

I know one of the city council members and I know another one that was running for council seat (she's in a run off)... the city I grew up in and went to high school in, has really run off the rails.

The sane people are trying to take it back, but the insane people tend to stick together and vote for each other.

Looks like that is STARTING to change - people are waking up to the fact that they don't want crazy people, bribe takers and people who are in developers' pockets running the town.
