Watch this. Utter claptrap but so much earnest truthiness. Cruz just needs to pitch his voice a tad lower & work on facial expressions (slight make under, too) and he'll be all set to run in 2016.

    •  "Lying Sack of Shit" is a more accurate phrase (18+ / 0-)

to describe this despicable "legislator" and his attempts to conjur up word salad the likes of which Caribou Barbie made "de rigeur" during her abortive attempt to gain a higher office from which to grift the Nation, not just Alaska...

This guy qualifies as a "pinhead" under every definition of same...

      and, he's a dangerous idealogue...
because to SOME folks (morans), he's believably...

Help American return to sanity - vote the GOP OUT OF the House Majority and reduce their numbers in the Senate in 2014 elections. Democrats move America forward - Republicans take us backward!

      •  He leaves out important details. (4+ / 0-)

Like when he described a Ponzi scheme. He said SS takes money from one group of people and gives it to another group of people, so it's a Ponzi scheme. The difference: Ponzi at some point quit giving money to any people, and went back to Italy with whatever money hadn't been given out as proceeds from his non-existent investments. The only way SS could become a Ponzi scheme is if he and his allies kill SS, and don't return it's assets to those who paid in. And he knows that. It's the sleight of hand of a snake oil salesman.

        •  But by his definiton ALL TAXES are a ponzi (0+ / 0-)

scheme, since they "take[] money from one group of people and give[] it to another group of people", and so all taxes must die (except the ones that "give money" to Cruz and his ilk, of course).

He doesn't care about winning the merits now.  Its all about putting the meme out, which some T-baggers will lap up and regurgitate and so on even unto the dumbest moron.

And if the right events heppne and not enough people vote... he's POTUS.

          God help Humanity.

      Ponzi? Not at all.
"A Ponzi scheme is a fraudulent investment operation that pays returns to its investors from their own money or the money paid by subsequent investors, rather than from profit earned by the individual or organization running the operation. The Ponzi scheme usually entices new investors by offering higher returns than other investments."

      Personal accounts.
      Increase retirement age.
      Decrease COLA.
      It won't be there.
      SS is going bankrupt.

Same old s**t from a different weenie.
These ideas are quite unpopular and at this time 1 in 7 seniors live in poverty. Shall we try for 30%???? That will go over big with folks over 50.

He may be slick but he's got a pedantic, annoying manner and looney ideas that will limit his success.

pant leg was hanging down on his polished cowboy boot. First of all, polish on working cowboy boots? I'll bet he's never seen a cow except on a plate in a restaurant. Secondly, polished cowboy boots on a TV interview? Again, fake cowboy. Third, a ripped hem flopping against your shiny boot? Inexcusable distraction. Fourth, your "Mad Men" hairdo? Really? Finally, who did your make-up. That person was not one of your fans. I could not hear a word he said except his definition of a Ponzi scheme that was so simplistic that it proves he is a blithering idiot.
