  •  Inside the Beltway that might make sense (7+ / 0-)

From out here in the country, organized labor looks like one more group Democrats don't lift a finger for until they can't avoid it.

The president and the party leadership at that time were doing all they could to help Blanche Lincoln win her 2010 primary against a somewhat better Democrat, even though she looked likelier to lose the general election than Bill Halter did.  Which was remarkably like the support they gave the traitor Joe Lieberman. Some pressure on them to play along, huh?

If you want to cut Social Security, you're not a real Democrat.

Yes, and they did that even after Lincoln threatened to filibuster health insurance reform.

Obama is the Chickenshit-in-Chief for failing to stand up to Republicans on all their phony scandals, from the "beer summit," to Van Jones, "death panels," Shirley Sherrod, contraception, Benghazi, and the IRS.

      •  But labor lobbyists are so sure Dems support them (4+ / 0-)

From out here, that sounds like the political version of Stockholm syndrome.

        •  Or maybe Labor knows their interests better than (0+ / 0-)

you do.  You remind me of a Republican trashing blacks for being so stupid as to vote for Democrats, as if blacks don't know what they're doing.  Blacks know their interests, and Labor knows theirs.  Who are you and expatjourno to lecture Labor on whom they should support?
