    the only thing that is more worrying to me about what the government is doing and the use of an act that is undoubtedly questionable wrt civil liberties is watching people on this diary attempt to justify the actions of the government. I wonder if/when they will understand that this is dangerous irrespective of whether the government has a D or R describing it. If we do not fight to defend freedom of the press in these circumstances, if we do not stand up to oppose these actions, then the liberties (which have been severely eroded in the past two administrations) will be gone forever. It is far harder to get something back once it is gone and the fact is that those justifying this are willing to allow the gov't to act this way against something as powerful as AP, when it is done to nobodies, then no one will hear or care about it.
