  •  A clear, bright line = unequivocal statement. (11+ / 0-)

Calling out the admin on going down the current road with the press.

    As I wrote above:

I state this with the hope that it will be the beginning of a broad national exposure of the government's repression, one early enough to warn the people and inspire them to act in defense of their constitutional rights.
A bit grand, but however it happens, I believe it's necessary.

A slower bleed-out is not a sustainable value.

I just don't think a statement on the front page of Daily Kos has all that much more power than the line I drew above...I mean seriously, if they listened to us we would already have single payer and left Afghanistan years ago.

      •  so you don't do something even though... (5+ / 0-)

it's small cuz it might not have much effect at all? just because something might not have that much power is not a good reason not to do it. it's called standing on principle.

imagine if other blogs looked at how DK led the way and chose to do it themselves... sometimes collective action can be like a wave... look at how Occupy branched out...

someone should be leading the way. Jay is asking whether this blog feels it can stand on this principle.
