  •  Thanks for comments, and some resources (5+ / 0-)

I did not expect such an outpouring of warmth and kind comments - but of course I should have known. So many of us are or have been caregivers for family members and friends suffering from dementia. And if we learn anything at all, it's the need to care for each other, too. My heart goes out to each of you facing this challenge in your own lives - and to those for whom it brought back memories of your own heartache.

One thing I do want to mention: two of the many resources for people facing dementia (and each one has other links): Alzheimer's Association
and Lewy Body Dementia Association. There are others, too, but these are the ones I know best, from my work and my caregiving for my mom. They have many resources for patients and family members, and both also support research to try to understand and to treat and someday to prevent these devastating diseases.

Thank you so much, all of you, for this outpouring of love and compassion - as Friends/Quakers say, I will hold all of you in the Light.
