The cultural genocide needs to be more wildly published and known.  I think the majority of Americans think this is something in their past, especially with the child removals.

I'm also concerned about Native communities being aware, so they can peacefully prevent it.

At that conference two Native American matrimonial vases that displayed Baal and Leviathan drawings were smashed as a prophetic act of divorce and then the decree of divorce was declared
Matrimonial vases. Been a year since I read it, The Pueblo Revolt by David Roberts. Pretty sure he tells of how the vases were made for an entire year and then thrown down as a sacrifice to the Kachina Spirit - a sacrifice of time and energy and I don't know what else. Don't know what tribe those vases were from or if that practice applies, I imagine not. Point is, from my perspective one could say, ceremonially speaking, that they made an offering to "Baal and Leviathan," thus making a partnership that strengthened them. Only one who might have known that would've been Swallow. And I don't want to criticize him (more than I have in a previous diary, anyway), I want people who might be directly affected to be aware.

to this diary and to my Quapaw friend and a local Osage acquaintance. This group is geographically very near their families and friends. It seems unlikely any of them would be taken in, but one never knows!

It's not that I think being overly suspicious is the answer, but just to keep an eye out and be aware. Act peacefully to protect the alter in a good way. How and when? That's what I think needs to be discussed. I'll bring it up this weekend at the one I go to.

WR, Baal and Leviathan are old Testament references.

Some of the Israelites were (noted in the Psalms) sacrificing their children to the god Baal. They were roundly condemned. I have never heard that NDNs in North America ever practiced cannibalism. Did I miss something?

Leviathan is a reference to a so-called sea monster (Leviathan of the deep), and the only reference is to that sea monster (probably a whale) as something the Lord made for the sport of it. There is no reference whatsoever in the Hebrew Scriptures to "Leviathan" as some sort of god to which any sacrifices were ever made.

These so-called "Christians" are inventing demons, using ancient 'gods' and creatures mentioned in the Bible so as to justify their twisted, far from true Christian beliefs.

          1. Native Americans have the right to worship what or whom they please.

          2. Accepting the Christian faith does not require such twisted ceremonies or purges, it only requires accepting Christ as the Son of God, and believing in God's Law of Love, and, for membership in the Church, Holy Baptism.

The leaders pushing this war on NDN culture must not believe in the love that God offers, and must not really trust NDNs (or themselves).

"Treat others as you would like them to treat you." -St. Luke 6: 31 (NEB) Christians are given a tough assignment here: Love the people you don't even like...

I always wonder why they pull that from the Old Testament, I thought Jesus's sacrifice meant (not being very clear, but you know what I'm saying) it's time for the New Testament. God's love, that's something that should be easy to agree on across the board. Thank you and blessings.
