    Turkey has, in recent decades, acquired a reputation for stability & order. I remember one journalist holding up the country as a model of economic development for its neighbors.

    This crisis is probably entirely of Erdogan's creation, & any politician with a sense of his limits would have never found himself in this situation. I'm curious to see how this will resolve. Maybe his subordinates are discussing whether it would be better for them & their country to toss him under the bus, or maybe they're arguing that they must stand firm next to him, regardless. One way leads to a better country & exceptional vision, while the other is simply business as usual in too many places around the world.
