  •  Have been working on it for several months (28+ / 0-)

We Dems at the local level start waaaay early recruiting candidates to run against the GOP.  We've already fielded a new candidate and several others with experience have announced they're running against GOP candidates in the newly gerrymandered districts.

We also have state level races to deal with.  It's local, unglamorous grunt work done by plebes out here in the real world, but it's how Dems really get elected.

We can run on a national issues platform if its good enough or on a local/state jobs-oriented platform if the national one isn't good.

P.S. Note to the national party - get SS and Medicare cuts off the table, like yesterday.  Savvy?

today in response to my message to him that the only acceptable modification to Social Security is raising the cap.
In a pretty long-winded response that, of course, went out to tens of thousands he focused almost entirely on deficit reduction -- as if I hadn't told him that I didn't care one whit about deficit reduction -- and said, "To hit the rest of our deficit reduction target, we must address the rising cost of health care for an aging population.  The Affordable Care Act is helping us meet that challenge, and the entitlement reforms I have proposed would take us even further. "

I don't think he's giving up on the chained CPI, so those new members of Congress that give him the majority, they better be better Democrats.

This president is unable to learn.

It's embarrassing to have a Dem POTUS absolutely obsessed with a widely discredited, crackpot idea.   Is it his male ego, his inability to admit he was wrong about something that keeps him pushing a bad idea?

Now he has Wall Street running the national Dem Party, trying to let them call the shots on which issues our local candidates for Congress should run on.   Ridiculous and unacceptable.

        •  That's why I don't (0+ / 0-)

          want him involved in anything.

BO, just stay in Washington, please.

Dems in my precinct were furious at him before the 2010 elections - one guy even slammed the door in my face and said something like, "they're a bunch of liars!"

And that was obviously before BO started his war against soc sec. I have a lot of elderly people in my precinct - when I walk the precinct again, I'll probably get tarred and feathered.

People on this site simply refuse to face what BO is.
