    And we have to continually use it in a pejorative sense, i.e. "This is just the same warmed-over Reaganomics that has been failing us for the last thirty years."

    If they want to spend all of their time defending St. Ronnie, let them. I'm more than glad to debate them on that point and the fact is that Reagan mustered out with an approval rating less than Bill Clinton's when he left office. I can remember being shocked as late as 1995 when people suggested that Reagan was some kind of great figure. He was then to me, and to most of my friends, an object of derision. It was only by incessant myth-building that Reagan took on the stature he now holds. It's time to bust this myth.

    "Reaganomics" is a good place to start.

    Never forget: Reagan's "There you go again" line was in response to Carter's very accurate portrayal of Reagan as opposing Medicare.

    Reagan was a lousy president. Those who worship him are fools.
