I shall endeavor to make it a Sunday morning ritual, as in the past.
And thank you, all Is well.

when our Goffin continues it's path of destruction through our home.
      and remember your advice.
        we copied your ropes.

        Hi & good day.

Tell me more about your family addition.
Is your bird just too much fun, or is he a holy terror?
My Goffin is still the prankster buddy.

but he is a holy terror.
          he is a prankster.
          he is funny.
          he is evil.
          he is smart
          way too smart.
          way way waaaaaaaaay too smart.
          he is a wise guy.
          he is sneaky.
he loves to play with us.
his favorite game is when we are on opposite sides of the room, and say "hi Potus (his name)"
he goes running back and forth between us like a waddling duck on the floor.
he won't fly when he goes this  (he is fully flighted.)
he loves to drag his beak on the floor, yelling HI POOOTUS as the top of his bird lungs, and fall on us.
          begging to be pet.
he can do this for hours.

but his evil knows no bounds.

I think that's the Aboriginal word for "holy terror".

might have been a bit easier to deal with.
i thought his small size would make it easier than the big ones.
                i was wrong.

at work Friday, (different note) i heard a call of distress in the parking deck. third level.
i was like "ignore ignore no good will come of this. "
no. instead i go to level two - nothing.
              level four. nothing.
              walking walking walking...for 1/2 hour.
              distress calls worse.
i'm tired, it's late, everyone else is gone.
              (it's my company's parking deck)
              and there it is.
              a damn fledgling.
yes. i know the rules. leave them alone.
this is the way it is.
but this is a parking deck.
oh wait. it was Thursday night.
and hundreds and hundreds of cars would arrive the early a.m..
he could not get out. the walls were too high.
so one car comes from the level above past us.
fast. fledgling more scared. almost gets run over.
i'm like oh crap. call the S.O.
make him come to my job.
like two freaking lozer loons we are running around trying to catch him.
              1/2 hour later. success.

              sigh.
he is being cat food and i'm teaching him how to fly.
he's not near POTUS. not anywhere near.
i know you are not supposed to do this.
              but we did.
              and he 's getting stronger.
              he can fly more now.
he eats so much. we are giving him berries too.
the rehab place told us we should put him outside.
              NO. i am not.
when he can fly across the shed. And can fly up.
as in when he's on the ground, he can fly.
              he will be free bird.
he seemed to be looking outside with longing today. i think . i hope.
i let him hear all the other robins and birds outside by opening the windows.

              he will ok, right?
when we set him free....he will know to go find his own because a bird won't be feeing him worms.
and a human won't be feeing him fancy feast beef and strawberries from the local farm, right?

this part i worry about. him not seeing him mom finding food.

don't yell at me if i did something wrong.
i just could not take another fledgling dying.
and there was no way he was making it out of the deck.
and i did not know where to put him outside when we caught him.

that has nothing to do with cockatoos, i know.

Are people who come over, really surprised at this character you`ve come to answer to?
