almost 30 years ago to the year; it fascinated me the myriad of personalities and backgrounds and reasons those in our program were there.

There were those who wished to a high school guidance counselor, those in the clergy who wanted to extend and enhance their counseling skills to be better serve their parishioners. There were those of us who wanted to be therapists in marriage and family counseling or to be addictions counselors, counsel those victims of sexal assault and incest, to counsel victims of domestic violence and so on.

In my case, I wanted to do a little bit of each and it did end up that I was able to do a wide array of counseling as a therapist for various agencies and county mental health services.

The personalities were also fascinating and there were more than 2 types represented. It crossed a broad spectrum.
