    Gun violence and disease may always be with us, but as long as there is enough good farmland, clean water, and productive capital, there is nothing inevitable about poverty. Poverty is something that we collectively choose to enforce, whether we are aware of this choice or not. None of us can end poverty on our own, but if we act together we can no doubt implement an unconditional livable citizen's income and/or the direct provisioning of basic necessities. As technology progresses in the coming years, this will only get easier.
