    "The Way to Dusty Death," whose protagonist is a Formula One driver, there is a description of driving the corniche road near Nice that will have you holding on to the edge of your chair. And your breath.

    He was brilliant at those specific scenes of skills or location that put the reader right smack dab in the middle of the action.

        all of MacLean, although none recently. And "Navarone" had Gregory Peck in the movie; who cares if it wasn't true to the book?
