  •  Years Ago I Was Kept in Cardiac Intensive Care (14+ / 0-)

unit for a spell of heartbeat skips that several interns suspected in the ER were almost certainly benign, as they proved to be after a couple days of tests. We figured my most important symptom was my excellent state employee health insurance.

It's very sobering to be lying there hooked up to a monitor whose alarm goes off a couple times a minute when you aren't sure what your situation is.

Congratulations on getting your cholesterol down and I hope you're able to get patched up.

Now my insurance is state worker retiree and we're just marking time till they downgrade it to either catastrophic-only, or maybe worse, like dental insurance that covers only the routine preventative checkups and nothing that really matters.
