    I've heard absolutely zip about whether other governments are doing the same thing, and whether we should be concerned about what would happen if we stop the program while other governments continued it.  

    It would be idiocy to think that other governments are not engaged in the same data mining.

    At some point in time, this is going to have to revert to reality, not politics.  The sooner, the better.

      That's original.

      We must allow the US to spy on its citizens so that we can keep up with other countries that are spying on their citizens.

      I think your comment is whack but I give you points for originality.

      My advice: put your flag away. This is an issue for people all over the world. If their governments are spying on them or if the NSA is helping their governments spy on them, then they are our allies in the fight.
