    If Hispanics register and turn out to vote in large numbers, they can swing an election in Texas, but so far, they have only rarely.  I'll believe that's going to change when I see the result.

      I promise you Latinos in Texas are chomping at the bit to stop the blatant discrimination and separation of families and mass incarceration of friends, family, coworkers, etc.

      Ask any working class Latino family about S-Comm (Comunidades Seguras) and they will have a story about a family member or friend who has been swept up and deported under this egregious program.

        but I was born in Texas and grew up there and have only seen Hispanics register and vote in droves once in my life.  

        Maybe that's about to change, but I'll believe it when I see it.
