    ...before it hits the ground. Nasty heat out there.

    We're battening down the hatches here, checking the supplies in the "go bags" and trying to make sure we'll have what we need if the worst happens.

    Last time it was only a power outage, we were able to shelter in place, and spent part of our days in an air conditioned environment by going to the library and having dinner at local restaurants.

    Praying to any deity that will listen that we won't have to do this again...

      yet. Very light drizzle earlier, moderate temperatures, overcast. Someone's out mowing a lawn in the neighborhood. I'll probably still go to the meet-and-greet with our state AG candidate even though it's on the other side of town.
