  •  Well I am sure they are vetted (6+ / 0-)

and are currently our friends :)

I believe they are the Syrian Free Army, comprised mainly of defectors from the official army .... yet these things are never all they seem, and never remain constant.

And it's just another war that is not ours to meddle in.

I would support providing all the humanitarian support necessary, and ...

    BACKING A UN PEACEKEEPING FORCE.

This is not America's problem to solve, it is the worlds problem.

I hope that the quality of debate will improve,
but I fear we will remain Democrats.

But only with extra layers of costly bureaucracy.

You think Russia China or The middle east would chip in to support the UN but not a NATO action?

UN involvement would make it more costly not less.

Any way there are various different groups of semi distinct rebels. These semi-distinct groups are at war with each other almost as much as they are with the the gov.

PS almost all "humanitarian" aid gets funneled right into the  military groups any way. So again little to no diff there.
