family in the state since the 1950's.  I'm planning to relocate back to my birth state mostly to get out of the heat and for other quality of life reasons. And yes, the hard right lurch the politics have taken here here affirms my decision to go (for now) but I'll tell you this:  Arizona will turn purple, and then blue, sooner than Mississippi ever will!

If Latinos in Arizona voted at the same rate that the European-ancestored do, Arizona would be competitive on the presidential and senate level.  In the 2012 elections, the three competitive congressional seats all went to team blue; Barber, Sinema, and Kirkpatrick.

I have been watching with a mixture of awe and envy the Battleground Texas effort unfold.  I wish them all the luck in the world but would love it if the party bigwigs would throw a little love and green to AZ!

BTW, as others have said, Brewer isn't an idiot.  She's a calculating seasoned political operative.  And that's the scary part, because she has no core beliefs, she just does what she needs to do to get elected.  The Medicaid expansion?  I'm guessing that the big business/healthcare interests in the state let her know they would with hold the campaign dough in the future if she didn't find a way to expand.

in the pie, unlike Floorduh's 14-felony Rick Scott. I don't get why BigHealthIns hasn't knocked Slick Rick in that knob of a dickhead of his for declining tons of Medicaid dough.
