    being out of control.  We are cutting cancer meds to people whose lives could be saved, but there is plenty of money to pay $40 million per year electric bills for a vast data warehouse to store intensely personal data about all Americans all the time in absolute violation of the Fourth Amendment.

    We are cutting food stamps to children, but there are billions upon billions because the US government wants to break encryption schemes that allow the security of financial transactions.

    We don't have enough money to repair our bridges but we have enough to supply military vehicles to practically every little podunk town in the nation, so they too can have a "terrorist fighting militarized police department."
