  •  It's tough to tell Big Dog to keep his (3+ / 0-)

opinions to himself. Though in his defense, he gave one hell of a speech at the convention and one which for some people might have even persuaded them to vote for the President. As a somewhat disaffected progressive, that speech reminded me why I was voting for the President so I can imagine it might have persuaded someone.

But man, he doesn't know when enough is enough. Being a former President must really suck in many ways.

try to run for Senate seats again.  I'm not aware of any law that prevents it, which really only leaves their own egos stopping them, since they would see it as a 'demotion'.

running for any other office, though it's only been done a couple of times. President Taft was appointed to the Supreme Court (I used to think a good place for President Obama someday, though I have recently begun to doubt the wisdom of my own opinion).

I'd love to see Bill Clinton in the Senate. He'd make a great moderate Republican Senator.

He's a redneck, and an extremely smart one, but still a redneck. I voted for him, but I sure as hell's bells will not vote for Hillary!

        •  Clinton would lose a lot of income (0+ / 0-)

by serving as a senator.  And in what state would he run?  New York?  Arkansas?  I'm not sure he could win in either place (although Wall Street would surely pull out all the stops for him).
