    Ask an absurd question....

Today the people living in Libya have a chance to forming a better, more peaceful, more equitable society. Success or failure still weighs in the balance but personally I think it is a Good Thing that they have this chance.

The war to topple Ghaddafi was a relatively low-cost affair as far as civil wars go. It did not leave the nation demolished as you reply. It removed a dictator of some 40 years with a proven record of terrorism, oppression, with invading neighboring nations militarily (Chad, Egypt) and with fomenting wars in other African nations (Miger, Mali, Chad at least).

Knowing all that, you would still return Ghadaffi to power if you had the power to do so? That is monsterous.

They still have dictatorship, as they had under Gaddaffi.  Except that the dictators are the islamic militias and that the country is destroyed big time by the NATO bombings.

And, if you dont believe there is dictatorship there, please explain why the militias killed protestors.   There are many incidents like that.    The islamic militants have a worse record of terrorism than Gaddafi, by the way.

I think Gaddafi was terrible, but the current situation there is  worse.   We are talking about a completely destroyed country run by criminal islamic fundamentalist gangs.   Never in history have criminal gangs like them attacked and killed our ambassador as the barbarians did there.
