    what you're saying, but what I do understand sounds dead-on correct. People are mixing and matching different topics on this issue. And privacy itself has different meanings to different people. Young people today put their every thought on Facebook and every move they make they broadcast on Twitter. Not to mention the trend popular today of snapping nude pics of yourself and distributing for all to see. At the same time many are distraught that the government might know that we called our mother-in-law on the phone last Tuesday.

    This imbroglio is different things to different people.

      I'd like to find a way to separate. Or at least, to question. Or to promote thinking about.

      I must have dumped a dozen paragraphs from this diary before I realized that I hadn't really thought about what I meant when I said privacy. When I started, it was a very different diary.

      At least half the future I've been expecting hasn't gotten here yet. Sigh.... (Yes, there's gender bias in my name; no, I wasn't thinking about it when I signed up. My apologies.)
