    with the recession of the early 90s. In the name of downsizing a large number of regular salaried jobs were eliminated. When the economy picked up many of these tasks were performed by temporary and contract workers. The "permanent" jobs never came back. The ongoing trend has now been accelerated by another recession.

    Welcome to the post industrial economy.

      cheap ass visa tools which allow employers to hire unqualified scabs. The Y2K crisis opened the door. Also the need to change many IT corporations from a stock option model to a cheap labor model.

      And the immigration bill is going to DEVASTATE this sector even more. It will double, triple and multiply even higher the h-1Bs. The Green cards will be unlimited.

      No senator except Bernie Sanders says ANYTHING about jobs for American college students. We owe SHIT to any foreign student. They got their degree. They should go home and do something useful.
