So the United States is the only one who gets to deal with a Snowden-type character? Not China? Not Russia? Not Al Qaeda? The USA is the lucky country whose spy operations get disclosed to the world? We're already got Bradley Manning and Assange? Where are the "whistleblowers" fucking with the bad guys?????

    •  China and Russia are "the bad guys"? (13+ / 0-)

Remind me again what year this is, because I could swear it was 2013, not 1980s.

And if they ARE the bad guys, why haven't our government officials and business leaders been locked away for treason for meeting and making deals with them?

Also, because apparently your google is broken, here's a LINK to an article on a recent spate of whistleblowing by Chinese citizens highlighting corruption in the communist party in that country.

      •  And who is on the FRONT page (0+ / 0-)

worldwide, NOT those Chinese citizens you write about, but Edward Snowden, the so-called whistle-blower. So your comparison does not match. Snowden is THE story around the world.

Open up nearly any newspaper worldwide, and whose ugly face do you see? Edward Snowden's.

The world does not know about your Chinese "whistleblowers", believe me.

No "whistle-blower" against Russia or China is going to gain traction, because those are closed societies and their people are jailed if they speak out against the government.  Hell, former-KGB cold-blooded killer Putin even orders journalists murdered for bad press, steals Super-Bowl rings in broad daylight, jails political dissidents for absolutely nothing (as in the Pussy Riot case), supports Assad, and the Chinese hack our computers and steal our Intellectual Property, and steal our jobs in the process, and they've supported genocide against people. Yes, the USA has its skeletons, but the Russian and Chinese governments are more sinister.

By the way, Pussy Riot did not disclose KGB secrets; rather, they simply protested peacefully. and they were thrown in jail. If Obama were like this, Ted Nugent would certainly be in jail. Instead, he just continues to spew his nonsense, free as a bird...America IS superior to Russia and China in this regard.

        And re your question:

And if they ARE the bad guys, why haven't our government officials and business leaders been locked away for treason for meeting and making deals with them?
The Russians and Chinese governments are like Dr. Evil's son, Scott, in that they are "Evil Light", not quite evil enough not to do deals with.

Al Qaeda, on the other hand, are truly arch enemies of the American People. That's why arming the Syrian rebels, some of whom are Al Qaeda members, makes no sense. Assad is bad, but Al Qaeda is even worse.

    •  You seem concerned enough. (0+ / 0-)

Why don't you just go right ahead and blow the whistle on all the spying going on in China, Russia, and by Al Qaeda. Knock yourself out.

Step away from that video game for a while.

liberty and of trying to stop our country from being a police state. And you're concerned about this why?
