there are NOT millions of Democrats and Libertarians who do not support Snowden's actions?

Haven't you been reading the polls? There are people on both sides of this issue.  Does this really require a link?

Millions of libertarians...I have my doubts. I've yet to meet a single libertarian on either the left or the right that supports mass collection of private data by the government, let alone millions of them.

methods of spying on them and telling the Russians how we spy on them?  I doubt it.  Those are blatant attempts at hampering US national security, and have nothing to do with protecting civil liberties.  Libertarians don't support that, nor do mainstream progressives (the left fringe of progressives seems to support it, I guess because they see the US as the "bad guys").

Incidentally, Libertarians favor all sorts of wacky things like privatizing national parks, including selling them off to the highest bidder, including lumber companies which would clear cut the parks and replace the forests with generic tree farms.  I don't really care what libertarians have to say.  It's interesting that libertarians are now seen around here as a virtuous lot whose opinion is valued and carries persuasive weight.

voting in favor of marriage equality, and staying the hell out of wars ARE good political positions by the Libertarians though....

          •  Not all Libertarians (0+ / 0-)

are anti-Environment. There are factions (some libertarian vegans, for example) who believe that we ought to have clean air, water, and green energy.

now there's a comment that needs a 'link please' if one does...this does.

Snowden... I did not reveal any US operations against legitimate military targets. I pointed out where the NSA has hacked civilian infrastructure such as universities, hospitals, and private businesses because it is dangerous.

        your statement?

No, I have been following the news, not polls, and I would be very surprised to read that the below as you stated is true.........

"millions of Democrats and Libertarians who DO NOT support Snowden's actions".

Forgot the Dude's name but he was on the news standing with the ACLU head. Louise Gomer was standing behind him. Strange bedfellows indeed.

who blindly support Snowden have a few canned responses to comments they disagree with.

      One of them is

      link, please
I got the link, please  thing in another diary even though I had provided the link (albeit, imperfectly) in three previous comments in that diary.

        seem to yet.

So you feel that we supporters of Snowden are blindly supporting him?

I am curious as to why you feel such disdain for his supporters.

Could it be that we "blind supporters" detest secret government, secret laws, secret courts?

That we truly believe in a open, democratic government?

        never ask for any proof.

We need some standards here, please. If you're going to make an argument that relies on empirical claims then you need to be ready to back up those claims.

If debt were a moral issue then, lacking morals, corporations could never be in debt.
